I was much more efficient than that.

When I started at GT I looked ath the hours to graduate and the number
of elective hours available.

Physics (iirc) 190 hours total  >50 hours free electives

Other engineering degrees >200 total   very few free electives

Don't remember math.  Didn't consider anything else.

So Physics major from day one but heavy on the math and EE classes as
electives.  (I don't think I've done an integral since graduation. >(
 )
