[ale] issue with fonts, Fedora 8, Solaris application

Actually some programs (Oracle stuff for example) requires a Motif
library (the particular one escapes me at the moment). Motif ships
with RHEL but not Fedora. However, Lesstif is provided for Fedora and
provides the same library. We were able to get Oracle R12 going using
Lesstif on Fedora.

Out on a limb here, but I bet your box is lacking the motif stuff. It's
been not installed by default for a while in the Linux world but Solaris
still uses it. Poke around your package manager for motif (there used to
be a mootif in linux). It will likely be a set of libs.

Hello all,
I'm running into an X error when I ssh to a (work) solaris box and run
an app remotely. I try to
open a window with some Motif graphics constructs and get this:
Error: XRT/table: XmFontListInitFontContext failed, bad fontList
Any pointers woudl be appreciated,
TIA,
