Hi, John,

I use icewm. It has a glitch or two but they are visual not
functional. A nice feature of this window manager is the ability to get
a window list displayed by clicking the middle mouse button over any
part of the root window. Another nice feature is the multiple panes. I
sometimes (almost always) am multitasking and have to keep more than one
project up at a time. I use one pane per project. Take a look at
http://cruisinglife.org/images/icewmsample1.png. That's a snapshot of a
vncviewer window running icewm. I've displayed the window list so you
can see it. Also note that the panes run along the bottom of the
screen. There is only one populated right now but I have 4 defined.
The buttons marked 1, 2, 3, 4 represent the panes (called workspaces by
icewm).

It's a pretty lightweight window manager but has a lot of
functionality. I'll be glad to share my config with you if you are
interested.

Jim.
