For that particular video, the popcorn effect was achieved by dropping
already-popped corn into the scene during filming, then using digital
editing to remove the kernels from the table.

Another way to do this is to remove the cooking mechanism from a microwave
oven, mount it under the table, then use it to pop the popcorn.

Regardless, it's a fake.
