Back during dial up days I used Abraxis and don't recall any major
issues with them. The only reason I left them was because I left town.
When I came back I opted for Cable vs. DSL mainly because I was used to
it by then since my NC location didn't have DSL.

I'm in the same boat. Scuttlebutt is that abraxis.net (
http://www.abraxis.net/ ) or Atlantic Nexus (
http://www.atlanticnexus.com/residentialinternetservices.htm ) might be
reasonable choices. I seem to be lucky enough to have both
possibilities. Abraxis already has a welcome page up for (former)
Speedfactory customers. I haven't made a decision yet.

With the recent/current issue with speedfactory service outage, I'm
considering switching dsl isp providers for my home use. I'm looking for
recommendations for Linux/Mac OS X friendly isp. If they have local to
Metro Atlanta tech staff that would be a plus.
Thanks
Frank
