Pretending Atlanta is just the "city limits" rather than the multiple
counties that make up the metro area is a little silly.
FYI: I do live ITP (by about 1000 yards).
It's true that stereotyping everyone isn't a great thing - but to ignore
the fact that the majority are conservatives misses the boat a little.
Why do you think Sandy Springs wanted to be its own city and why does
North Fulton want to secede from the rest of the county?
The fact is that there is a lot of diversity in the Atlanta metro area
just like any other big city in America. That doesn't however mean that
there aren't a lot more neo-cons than not in this area.
Even in IT where I've known some fairly bright people it seems to me
that there a lot more of these folks than not.

"The South" encompasses a lot of territory. If you spend more time ITP
(inside the perimeter) you would see that ATL is nothing like the state
of Georgia, nor the "The South".
Atlanta, proper, has much more to offer than the stereotypical South.
One can easily tell that the vast majority of Atlanta's 500,000
residents (that's right, the city only has ~500,000 residents... the
other 4.5M are hanger-oners with commuting problems) weren't born and
raised here... and Atlantan's don't carry on much about the South's
stereotypical nuances, relics, and other issues.
Bryan, here's some more good Atlanta URLs:
