I missed the atheist thing in the post. There are (or were last time I
looked) so called "free thought" organizations in Atlanta metro. Also
you wouldn't be the only one sporting the Darwin fish - but you're more
likely to see the "Truth" fish that eats the "Darwin" fish. The
regular "Jesus" fish however is the one you'll see most often.
The South IS called the Bible Belt for a reason. It is also a bastion
of right wing ideology. That doesn't mean all of us are fundamentalists
or republicans - just that those of us who aren't are outnumbered.

I lived in Pittsburg when I was back in CA and worked down in
Palo
Alto. Took me about 3 hours one-way.

Yeah I had business class Covad SDSL back in CA and found they
couldn't
provide me service when I moved and ended up having to pay the fews for
breaking my contract early. Since I don't do cable modems I only had
Bellsouth to go with.

Then avoid Kennesaw where I believe there's still a law that
ever home
owner must have a firearm. I thought that was a funny law but I do hear
the B&E rate is quite low.
