Ok, back on DSL again. This one was weird, and anybody on Speedfactory
- listen up.
The original problem was an AT&T problem, outside plant, and nobody
seems to know exactly what it was. It seems to have cleared overnight.
I still could not get logged in however. Turns out this is because
Speedfactory had opened a ticket with AT&T for a tech to come out, and
when they do that THEY REPROVISION THE LINE TO AN AT&T ACCOUNT. So,
when he got here he could get logged in to AT&T DSL just fine, but (of
course) Speedfactory logins would not work.
The moron at Speedfactory did not seem to know anything about this. I
finally got to their tech god and he immediately knew what was going
on. Had the AT&T guy call his provisioner and provision the line back
to Speedfactory and all was well.
So, the moral of the story is if they call for AT&T service, your line
gets re-pointed to AT&T and Speedfactory logins will not work. And it
seems that most of the Speedfactory guys do no know this.
