Thank you!.  A friend in the UK gave me a DVD last spring when we were 
visiting and I didn't even think about regions at the time.  I was quite 
disappointed when I came home and couldn't play it.  I was delighted to 
find that site had a hack to open my el cheapo DVD player up.   I can 
now view his gift.
