ok, is this just coincidence??
I was going to try to get remote printing working for my laptop, and my
printer seems to have stopped working. SO I rebooted.. came up to the text
prompt.. had to reinstall NVIDIA driver.. finally brought up KDE, and I can't
print. when I removed the printer ans went to reinstall it, the model isn't
there.
I have an Epson Color Stylus 880. In the models, they go to 870, no 880.
I downloaded & installed gutenprint 5.1.3-1 still no 880.
any idea where I can find a PPD file for the epson 880? google doesn't show
one, except for rpmfind, which seems to be down.

ACK!
and then I tried to add my hp5610 all-in-one and it also will not print, so I
think I have a general cups issue.
what do to?
reinstall cups?

when I had the 880 as default, it also showed as not connected.
