Also, FWIW, since Win 95 or so I haven't bought another Windows
progamming book; the online docs available via MSDN are generally
sufficient to get you where you want to go.  I've written a couple
of C++ apps in the 50K-100KLOC range using just the MSDN docs for
reference.
