[ale] ethtool advertised link modes

RHEL3 AS / 2.4.21-40.ELsmp

 

Dual port Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5703X Gigabit Ethernet

 

See the ethtool output below.  Why are the advertised link modes on the two
ports of this dual NIC different?  Is there a way to force eth2 to advertise
1000baseT/Full?  Neither the man page for ethtool nor Google have been of
any help so far.  BTW, neither of those ports are connected to anything yet
but will be soon.
