[ale] OT: AMD Athlon 64

There's more to the x86/AMD64 jump than just the 32/64 bits.  My AMD64 
Mobile 3000+ at 1.8GHz actually isn't tremendously slower than the 
3.2GHz P4 HT that I had at my most recent job on things like compiling 
in part because of the AMD64's additional registers. 

My latest box - which I haven't had time to power up yet - is an AMD64 
X2 4200+ from HP and, being a Gentooista, it will be doing lots and lots 
of compiles.  But, I also expect to be running Xen VMs, doing 
audio/video processing, and a fair amount of GIMP.
