[ale] Printer troubles

Lately I have had issues with cups deciding to "disable" a printer for
no apparent reason. The symptoms are what you are experiencing, print
button happens, things seem to queue but no paper emerges.

Do the browser cups thing  http://localhost:631  and select printers and
see if it has been disabled.
