[ale] Embedded Linux (Like uCLinux)

Hello all,
    I am new to the list and was curious if there are discussions about 
embedded linux at the ALE meetings. I have been working through a 
project for a few weeks have been a little frustrated with the online 
"help" for understanding the embedded world.

Would anyone have any good locations to find information on embedded 
linux, and the ability to use an ARM emulator to test flash NOR support.
