[ale] Seeking ways to getting around spyware on Windows

You can add companies to AdAware (which I do), you can add stuff to the IE
browser which will send ad ware to 127.0.0.1 (which I do though I don't use
IE except for co. webmail), but the Mozilla plugin for adware is superb.
Rt-click and boom - no more ads. Even uses regex-like wildcards (which I
use early in the URL). I love OS.

Stay away from AdAware. They've been removed from several independent lists
ranking the spy ware scanners because they've accepted money from certain
parties to NOT remove their spy ware apps. The M$ solution seems to work
pretty well, and was bought from another company, so until they start
hacking at it, I wouldn't worry about M$ coding and design practices (for
those who care).

Since we are talking about Windows, most folks have already sold
their
soul to the devil after accepting the Windows EULA. I do agree that
you
should read every EULA you encounter. You will find them
entertaining
	and informative.
