Thank you.  I'd been doing something else for a while, involving the
permissions database thing.

Now, something else interesting, but not directly MySQL related, I don't
think:  phpMyAdmin refuses to see that I can create databases that are
fd0man_% --- yet I can create them using the mysql command line
interface.  *shrugs*  That's slightly annoying.  I think I'm going to
submit a bug to phpMyAdmin, if I can't find that bug in the system.
