I never watch movies on the PC and rarely on the TV these days.
I wont pay for music unless I can download it and burn it to a cd for
safe keeping
I wont go to the theatre except to watch G movies and I am not into the
Space
Age nonsense that they put into movies.
So in short I am partly to blame for the RIAA and Movie Studio problems and
I am proud that I can help bring such a worthless group to it knees over $$.
However, there is one aspect about the whole digital media business I
deplore,
the fact that a few fat cats control so much. But on the balance MS so
tightly
coupled their OS with every other product (especially Outlook and other
programs)
that is now gets very bad marks for Security and Linux is gaining
because of that
coupling that was engineered to eliminate other competitors.
So, possibly Intel and MS will find themselves in a pickle over this
latest effort
to side track good technology.
I personally think that in 5-10 years Intel will be marching to the tune
of the Chinese Mfgr
who creates CPU's that work on anything BUT MS products, then what will
MS and Intel do?
The beauty of misbehavior is that sometimes it comes back to haunt you
in the
worst possible way.
