[ale] suse 10 Beta 3

Anyone working with this one. The basic problem is grub appears to hand 
off to the kernel
but the kernel does not boot.
Very strange i actaully copied a working  9.3  kernel to the   /boot  
area of the  Beta 3 and
even it wont boot.

grub displays the  kernel info line in the top of the  menu.lst
ex
kernel (hd1,5) /boot/...

then we hang for ever

any ideas would be appreciated.

acts like it cannot  ungzip the initrd  file
