	Okay, I just rebooted, and wrote down some stuff.

	The BIOS is Phoenix AwardBIOS.

	Under 'Advanced', the fields are labeled:

	 First Boot Device: CDROM
	Second Boot Device: Disabled
	 Third Boot Device: Disabled
	 Boot Other Device: Enabled
	(there are more above and below these, of course)

	I see the drive LED flashing on the first part of boot (POST), but
never thereafter.  Grub, from HDD-0 is what's called.

	Rats!

	I *do* have a Buslogic SCSI host-adapter which has it's own BIOS
sequence and display.  Could that be part of the problem?
