[ale] Backing up to DVDs

I've been using this: http://www.bluehaze.com.au/unix/cdbkup.html for a 
month or 2 now for CD backups, and it works pretty well. Adapting to DVD 
for backup wouldn't be hard (just have to change the chunk size for the 
tar files it produces).

The only caveat is: you need enough local diskspace somewhere to write 
the tar files (which can be gzipped) before they get written to 
removable media.
