sorry, I wasn't clear.  that's what I _should_ have done (not lie), but I felt like jerking their chain.  the thought of it (exit poll results) affecting an election didn't occur to me until I reached the car and my wife reminded me of what happened in FL.

and don't worry, my logic is difficult for me to understand at times.
