Walter,
I am running RedHat 9 with KDE 3.1-12. The Kaddressbook is version 3.1. I
find that if I add a contact filling every slot with info that:

I must do File Save to keep it.

When the program is closed and reopened, that the info is displayed for all
entries in the display window but that the editor window only shows the
default numbers relating to drop down menu value for the phone entries. What
I mean is that Home, Work, and Mobile are the defaults for the editor to
display. I have to manually change the drop down to WorkFax to show in the
editor the WorkFax number. However, the main display does show all values.

I don't really see the problem, however it is an extra move to select the
WorkFax entry in the editor. But, since you've got it displayed in the main
window it isn't a big deal.

You'd need to add a box for the WorkFax in the editor or edit the
~/.kde/share/config/kaddressbookrc file if possible to change the dropdown
menus default entry values. I don't know if that is possible as my rc file
doesn't show a values for the editor pane.
