[ale] Another strange thing with Mandrake 9.2

I just installed Mdk 9.2 also, and someone sent me an mpg 
which I viewed with Totem. (Works fine)

However: now when I scroll up to the top of a browser window
(using the scroll wheel), the sound from that mpg replays, even 
though the Totem viewer  isn't even running.

Worse, the mpg was of a baby crying. Loudly.
I can't take much of this.
