[ale] DSL Providers

BellSouth serves my area through a DSLAM that is linked to the CO by a fiber
optic line. As the crow flies I'm about 7 miles from the CO. I'm about 2
miles of wire from the DSLAM.

I'm getting speeds of 1215/210 or so on dslreports.com.

I'm using Speedfactory for my DSL and they do allow me to run my own email
server. I've got a static IP and they are the only provider that I've found
that does not have untrained people in tech support reading from a script.

As some one else mentioned, no PPPoE or "A".

>From my own research, the only provider that is similar to Speedfactory
would be Speakeasy and they use COVAD and not BellSouth.

I had DirecTV DSL. I switched over to Speedfactory in about 5 or 6 days as
I recall.
