[ale] Installfest ONLY a week away

XFce (http://www.xfce.org) is what I use on my main account on my
laptop. It's based on fvwm but includes a more stylin' screen and some
GUI tools for configuration. It's way faster than the KDE I keep on some
of the other logins.  I'm still on the older version, but clearly I must
upgrade. I  much prefer having a vertical menu bar.
