Remember to check out IBM's site as they have excellent support for
Linux on their systems.  They may be your best, non-install fest,
support.  I am planning on my next laptop to be a ThinkPad also for that
very reason.

I have an IBM Thinkpad 380D (P150, 80M 1.3G) that I am planning to use
for 
school.  If anyone would be interested in helping me install Linux on
it, 
I'll bring it along.

I have done many installs before, but getting something  working
efficiently 
and secure on a P150 laptop will require some help.
