Um, the same language used to develop wired or non-wired apps?

(bu-dump crash)

Thanks, I'll be here all week.

My previous job involved a PDA UI developed with Satellite Forms, which
had a customization component that was somewhat akin to Visual Basic.
We were able to transfer data between the PDA and an SQL database through
a Nextel phone.

There is a local company called AppForge that claims an IDE for Visual
Basic-based PDA app development. And O'Reilly has a book on PalmOS
programming that recommends a cross-platform version of GCC to develop C-
based apps.

I also imagine there's a development path involving J2ME (Java for
embedded devices).

'course, if you're going wireless PDA, the thing to do may be to develop a
simple Web interface for use with Pocket Eudora or some similar
microbrowser. If you can swing a WML interface, then you'll also have
functionality for WAP-aware phones such as the Nokia 3360, which was
once the main phone pushed by Cingular.

Just my $0.02. And don't forget to tip your bartenders.
