2003 14:39:20 -0400 Reply-To: ale at ale.org sounds liek my brother ( all
action and no thought ) I don't like roxio anyway. Nero seems to work
better and there patches are always smaller than the program :) lance
I am not sure about the speed issue, but as far as reliability they are
top notch. My brother bought a 24x10x40 (I think I can't exactly
remember the speed)
and He has been very happy with it.
Before that he had a NEC model that was slightly slower that he got so
angry at that he ripped the face plate off it getting it out of his
system before he bounced it off the wall. (turned out to be a driver
issue with it and roxio easy cd creator and if he had waited on me I
could have fixed it for him). I said he was my brother not a computer
repair guy ;)
LoL I gotta love em, even if he does have a short temper.
I agree. I've been a fan of Nero since version 4.0
I especially like a company that is willing to give you a fully working
demo to try out before you buy their software. If I had been able to buy
the copy of easy cd creator that I have then I would never have bought
that piece of crud.
I've had nothing but troubles with roxio easy cd creator messing up
windoze installs. You would think the guys who program that drek work
for Microsoft. LoL
Now that I'm getting fairly familiar with Linux I like XcdRoast a lot. I
tried it and Gnome Cd Toaster and I went back to XCdRoast. it's a lot
easier for me to use IMHO.

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
I will face my fear,
and I will let it pass through me.
When the fear is gone,
there will be nothing.
No Fear!
