Mark, Matty,
I spent a couple hours in local BN looking through the books you
recommended me.

The "Solaris " one was not exactly the one i have been looking for. But,
indeed, it is covering a broad range of platform specific question and gives
an overview on performance tuning methods/techniques ( if you wish ) used on
Solaris for Oracle/DB2/Informix dbs. But from what i could see there were
only one ( maybe 2 ) interesting chapters for me. So I'll probably skip this
book.

The Handbook was ( i hope ) exactly what i 've been looking for. I'm getting
this book.

Thank you gentlemen for your advises.
