Slack 9.0 will work fine for Robert, but I'd steer clear of anything after
8.1 for a real 386 CPU. The default kernels (with the exception of
lowmem.i) are now optimized for 486 and I sure wouldn't want to have to
compile a modern kernel on a 386. Heck, I wouldn't want to do it on a 486
either. 2.5.72 took over 4 hours on a P133!!!
