[ale] SSH3.1.0 scp failure (a mystery to me); getting somewhere!

Went back to Jerry's post early last month and grabbed the 3.2.2 
version.  Downloaded, configured, make, and make installed the package.  
Used --with-x and --without-pam client and daemon just like on the 
3.1.0.  Now the 3.1.0 client on one of the test machines will scp a file 
to the newer 3.2.2 server just fine.  So, I'll try putting the new 
package on both machines instead of just one and retry.
