[ale] KDAT help needed for SCSI tape

Jim -

You need to have the module for SCSI tape in place or you ned to have it
compiled into the kernel.

If you look at the Gentoo Linux installation docs (www.gentoo.org) there
is a part there about firing up SCSI tape and CD-ROM.
