[ale] SuSE 8.1 Mouse/KVM problems

Press <ctrl> <alt> + or <ctrl> <alt> - using the keypad plus 
or minus sign til your resolution "fits" your monitor size. 
You can disable this feature in your XF86Config-4 file.
