Well, you're on the right path by installing apt-get. Once you get it
installed, managing dependencies will be much easier, but until then the
best I can recommend is:
1) Install apt-get.rpm
2) Determine to which package a failed dependency belongs (rpmfind.net
is your friend)
3) Install dependency rpm
4) Goto 2
5) Goto 1
It's not fun, and the main reason I switched to Debian. Maybe someone
else can recommend a less painful route.
