Howdy all!

I'm wondering, what about those network adapters that run over regular phone
lines?  (not dsl).  I wonder how far they reach?

Dow is correct.  The signal will stop at the transformer, but everyone on
your side of the transformer can sniff your traffic, but I don't think it's
as insecure as wireless or cable modems.
