[ale] Perl Modules

What mechanism do folks use to add perl modules to their
perl build? I want to install Oraperl and the DBI
modules from CPAN, copied the SRC and dropped it into
my lib directory. The modules in question is:

http://search.cpan.org/author/TIMB/DBI-1.37/DBI.pm

Is there anything special that needs to be done to
get this working? Curious what steps I am missing.
