Wow.  I'm really glad you wrote this and the previous message,
Marc.  These two messages get a *keeper* flag in my ale folder.
I've never read such a concise, excellent, history, with
contributor names included, that spells out what made the ALS
years so special.  Thanks!

Seems to me that we're entering a time now where people are even
more greatly in need of Linux than ever, what with wireless
connectivity and very nasty wormy/trojany/virusy thingies
slamming Winboxen every tim you turn around.  I guess a different
sort of meeting paradigm might be in order, huh?
