[ale] [OT] Gigabyte 6VTXE MB and Celeron 1.2Ghz won't play :-(

OK, I'm willing to try this, but here's another data point: I
moved the MB to another case, and I get exactly the same behavior.
I suppose the MB could have been fried by the P/S in the original
case...
