[ale] where's my modem?

I am sure there are a few places to look.

Here are some

/etc/sysconfig/hwconf

/proc/pci

/proc/ioports

/proc/isapnp

I hope this helps.  I have an old U.S. Rob.  to get it to work right on the ISA bus I had
to put the jumpers on it and not use it as a Plug and Prey device.
