I have Gentoo running as a mail server on a 200 mhz (pentium), 128 mb
machine. I want to take that hard drive out tonight and drop it into a
900 mhz (althon), 512 mb machine.
Since Gentoo is compiled from the start to be optimized for the particular
machine it's running on, is there a way to incrementally rebuild
everything for the new architecture? I have a lot of tweaks/configs I'd
hate to lose. Or would it be best/easiest to back up as much as I can
remember and then just reinstall from scratch.
Thanks!
John
