I've seen variations on file nameing, but I don't know that I've seen
this one. I've seen html email where the font color of the real
extension was set to the page color, therefore 'invisible.'

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
