[ale] Installfest followup

Will anyone have the latest Star Office? Will there possibly be copies at
the meeting tonight?

Seems like we will have plenty of burners for the install fest. Will an old
486 mobo with 586 cpu and 167MB ram be able to run a 12x burner?

I'm still hoping to make it, but as someone else put it, the 'crystal
ball is still cloudy.' Primarily a overdue deadline at work. :(

If I can make it, I've got a p200 with a 24x/10x (cdr/cdrw) burner I'll
bring. The downside is that it's not got a lot of disc space, so we'd
have to copy iso's to it probably 1 (maybe 2) at a time.

One quick note folks, understand that if you're going to bring media to
burn, you go with the lowest burn value of the media/hardware combined.
  In other words, a 24x burner will burn a 10x cdr at 10x. :)

Also, I'll bring:

50' extension requested
couple of power strips
a couple of cat 5 cables. One I'm pretty sure is >50'
I've got a couple of small switches (5 and 8) do we want them?

I've also got a 100mb 5 port hub if that might be useful, someone let me
know?

I can also bring copies of rh 8.0 and mdk 9.0.

Anyone know how many folks are scheduled, and the break down (helpers
vs. wanting help)?

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
