If you want to run a dual-monitor setup, check out x2vnc. The setup
goes something like this: install a vnc server on computer #1,
install x2vnc on computer #2. Hook keyboard, mouse, and monitor to
computer #2. Hook the other monitor to computer #1.

Put both machines on a hub and make sure vnc connections are allowed
between them (watch for firewalls). Run x2vnc to connect to the vnc
server running on computer #2. Voila! To the casual observer, you're
running a dual-monitor setup, but have the added advantage of using
two computers.

vnc has a bad reputation of being slow, cause it normally has to send
the video over the network. With x2vnc, you're only sending kbd and
mouse signals over the network. Lag isn't noticeable.

x2vnc docs were good: http://www.hubbe.net/~hubbe/x2vnc.html

Meg
