[ale] Why isn't kmail sending a recipient command?

I'm using 3.0.3, so everything should be up to date.

I did find a solution.  My Outbox had gotten into a very strange state.  
It had about 20 emails in it but they were all blank.  I suspect what 
happened was that kmail would try to send them and would see a blank 
"To" header and would skip the RCPT command.  This would fail and it 
would stop trying.

I consider that a bug in kmail (maybe two bugs--the weird Outbox and the 
lack of rcpt), but now I know the fix.  I emptied Outbox and all 
worked.
