Besides the company that manufactures VS.NET, could you tell me what you actually dislike about the tool itself?

My professor (C++) last night was praising the latest M$ Visual Studio
suite for it's "openness/open-mindedness".  

"It allows you to program in any language, and use your code in any
other language, unlike Unix which is very limited and restrictive." 

This man went on for like 10-15 minutes praising M$ and VStudio .Net.  I
nearly choked.
