Hello,
 
I'm looking at purchasing a Canon ZR45MC Mini DC 
camera with Firewire output.  I intend to film on Mini DV but intend on 
going to DVD in the future.  
 
The IEEE output will allow copying of video to 
Windows.  But how does it go to MPEG then DVD.  Are there any decent 
inexpensive software packages out there.  I'm not to happy that the video 
does not come from the camera in MPEG format but those that do are a little 
pricier.
