[ale] DPMS hook?

That's not a terribly good idea.
Lava lamps aren't meant to be turned on and off like a regular lamp;
they're actually designed to remain on for several hours at a time. By
turning it on and off with the frequency of a monitor going into sleep
mode, you risk damaging the operation of your lamp. The normal warm-up for
a lava lamp takes about 3-5 hours, and it's supposed to be at room
temperature when you turn it on.
A better idea may be to rig up something in your shell startups to turn it
on when you log in, and off when you log out.
