[ale] Xwindows on Slackware 8.1

I finally figured it out.  It was defaulting to standard vga and at the
settings I had it was too large for the screen.  Took the standard vga
option out and it is ok now.  Now to tweek it to see how far I can push it.

xvidtune (as root) can tweak settings for screen sizes.
