[ale] mgetty and caller ID solution

Hello all,

Just an update - I finally managed to get the Caller ID feature working
with mgetty, but I had to go to the source to find out the details. This might
be worthwhile for someone else to know, since the current docs are not
completely clear.

To get it to work, I had to swap 2 parts of an if() statement in the cnd.c. I
think
that the logic short-circuit might be a problem for those expecting both sides
of
an OR to be run. I suspect that I might be able to unswap those conditions and
get it to work. The main trick was to know that mgetty must be trying to answer
the
phone before it will process the CND info and call the cnd-program, so you need
to
have 'rings 2' or 'rings 3' in the mgetty.config file. This was not clear from
the
docs I found.

Thanks to all who sent me suggestions, and Happy New Year!
